Teaching

Drawing from my undergraduate liberal arts experience, I believe that teaching is a vital aspect of being a professor. My goal as an instructor is to promote a challenging and inclusive environment for all students. I take great care to promote critical thinking and advance students’ understanding of the course material. I emphasize writing and research methods in my courses to ensure students succeed both in the classroom, and in their chosen career field. At my future institution I aim to establish a collaborative research group for students to study climate change politics in Africa or related subjects.
